Reading Loans to First Devon & Cornwall

At the start of the month four Wright Solars from Reading Transport went on loan to First Devon & Cornwall for the Truro Park & Ride contract. First took over the service from Western Greyhound on Monday 2nd, with all four vehicles plus two existing Mercedes Citaros from Western Greyhound (owned by Cornwall Council) repainted and ready for service by that date. There would originally have been six Citaros were it not for the fire at Western Greyhound's premises earlier in the year. Initially, the vehicles were operated without fleet numbers but have subsequently become 65759-62. Cornwall Council are expecting to replace the vehicles with new double deckers in 9 months time when the service is extended to a new second park and ride site.
