The Stagecoach in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire Former Vehicle Fleet List (formerly Stagecoach South Midlands) is now only available from this site in Excel format as part of the current fleet list. To view it you will need Microsoft Excel, or the free Microsoft Excel Viewer which can be downloaded from Microsoft.

The use of Excel for this fleet list is part of an experiment to decide whether or not to convert all of the lists on this site to Excel.

Using Excel has the following advantages:

  • it is easier to rearrange and manage the data
  • it is easier to sort and search through the data
  • it is easier to print, and has much more flexible printing options

The disadvantages seem to be:

  • not everybody may be able to open Excel files
  • it is easier for somebody to reproduce the information without showing its original source

It would be interesting to hear your comments on this subject, so please do get in contact. If the above turns out to be a disaster then I will go back to the HTML version.
