  • News Page: Newbury Show 2014 with photos of 804 and 1207
  • Reading Transport Fleet List: 199 is YX62 EEY. 1107 gained a ColourBus livery for Reading College to support it's role on the new Green Bus routes on approx Sunday 14th. Thanks to James Cusworth for this.

16-09-14:

  • Reading Transport Fleet List: 798 is confirmed as YX64 VOO and entered service on 13th. 835-7 have lost their Loddon Bridge Park & Ride branding and gained temporary Reading Buses logos on their blue and yellow livery, 835 re-entering service on route 17 on 13th. Thanks to James Cusworth for this.
  • Oxford Bus Company Fleet List: The new E400s are to be numbered 601-14 with registrations added. The first two letters of several of the registrations correspond to Oxford Bus Company and Brookes University staff member initials. Blue 209/10 and loaned 1580 appear to remain in service for the time being. Thanks to Ian Rivett and Ralph Adams for this. 204 will gain Brookesbus lettering if it hasn't already done so. 1578 transferred to Salisbury Reds during August.
  • Stagecoach in Oxfordshire Fleet List: New Scanias 15994-6 are due to arrive after working at the Ryder Cup next week. The final two T9 Astromegas to depart were 50207/8 in early September, the others going during August. Thanks to Malcolm Crowe for this.

12-09-14:

  • Reading Transport Fleet List: 1031 had returned from loan to Newbury on about 5th, and 1010 returned from Weavaway on 1st. 1010/11 are to be sold to First South West along with 1006/14/21/27 which have been on loan there since August 2013, and were officially withdrawn on 10th. Thanks to Brian Coney for this. 651-3 entered service on 10th and 654 today. Thanks to John Wheeler for this. 651-3 are in plain white with small FastTrack 500 branding, whilst 654 is in generic silver livery and is effectively to replace 1031. 1208 entered service in generic silver on 10th whilst 1207/9 both remain in Newbury & District livery for the time being. 1107/8 are now designated for The Green Bus routes to Reading College, although not debranded Pink 1107 has lost its advert frames suggesting a repaint may eventually take place.
  • Reading Transport Fleet List: Delivery of the new Enviro 400s 751-8 has been delayed, with the first two expected w/c 22 September, with the next 6 following at 2 per week. 835-7 will be retained temporarily to help provide cover but will now be sold instead of remaining in the fleet. In addition an Enviro 400 demonstrator (fleet number 798), an Enviro 350H demonstrator (fleet number 498) and an Enviro 200 demonstrator will be on loan from Alexander Dennis to enable the enhanced 21 timetable to commence on 22 September as planned (although they won't necessarily be used on the 21). Once cash vaults have been fitted they may enter service before 22nd, although won't be on late duties due to a lack of assault screens. 211-3 are to be repainted into generic livery once deliveries are complete, 214-7 are generally going to run the 20A and 751-7 the 21. An additional feature of the new vehicles will be white LED destination displays as per those fitted to 226.
  • First Berkshire Fleet List: Enviro 200s 44504/5 transferred from Weymouth to Bracknell on 2nd. 64043 transferred from Slough to Bracknell on 26th August. Thanks to Mat Wooll for this.
  • Stewarts of Mortimer Fleet List: The second new is Irizar i6 YS14 LHZ. YN61 AYC has transferred to Woods Coaches (where similar YS14 LHU/W have also been delivered) with YN60 BZE to follow. Thanks to Ricardo Sousa for this.
  • Oxford Bus Company Fleet List: 206 has gained Brookesbus lettering. 900 is an E400H rather than plain E400. Thanks to Graham Low for this. Additional registrations noted for the new E400s are GO14 OXF, SB/SC/SM/SU 64 OXF. Thanks to Ian Rivett for this. In addition to the 14 Enviro 400s on order, 6 existing vehicle are to be reworked with the same hydrid Gyrodrive system as is being fitted to these vehicles (presumably recently repainted 201-6).
  • Thames Travel Fleet List: Carousel 415 and 417 are on loan rather than having passed to Ensignbus. Thanks to Matt Goodenough for this. 415 was in service in Carousel purple today. Thanks to James Cusworth for this.
