29-10-05:

  • Reading Transport Fleet List: 818 arrived as expected yesterday and will enter service next month. 102 has lost it's Inner Circle branding like 101. 463 is another Metrobus confirmed with CCTV. 973 probably returned from engineering work some time ago and is assumed to be back in service. 472 has a new MegaRear for Directline.com replacing one for Alliance & Leicester and 927 for The Oracle (Two Young Ladies - cocktails) replacing one for the Oracle (Two Young Ladies - handbags).

  • Reading Transport MegaRears: New photo of rears on 472 and 927 added

28-10-05:

  • Reading Transport Fleet List: A new addition is 353, a Peugeot Partner 800 van registered Y549 ERP. Thanks to John Whitehead for this.
  • Reading Transport Former Optare MetroRiders: Former 688 has passed from Darwen Coach Services to Wigley, Carlton for scrap. Thanks to Bus Fayre magazine for this.
  • Stagecoach in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire Fleet List: 14382 transferred from Nuneaton to Rugby yesterday. 31327 transferred from Nuneaton to Rugby in exchange for 34398 today. Additionally 31328 was transferred from Nuneaton to Leamington in exchange for 14516 also today. 20202 has been rubbed down ready for repaint out of Midland Red livery into corporate livery. 34398 has lost it's 63/64 branding, but retains the rest of it's CountyLinks livery. Thanks to Tim Moss for this.

26-10-05:

  • Reading Transport Fleet List: 818 is expected to arrive on 28th and enter service a few days later. It is confirmed that the leasing company who 941 has been returned to have offered it for sale through Southdown PSV. Thanks to Sam Simpson for this. 101 has lost it's Inner Circle branding. Thanks to Steve Wickens for this.
  • Weavaway Travel Fleet List: Acquired from Steventon Transport are Scania / Irizars S331 SET, T725 JHE, T908 LKE, W341 MKY which have been reregistered B10 MNX, B10 MTT, R19 CES, W19 CKY. OO02 TEN was reregistered RG02 NMM from yesterday with the OO02 TEN mark transferring to SF05 FNW. Delivery is expected to start this week of 7 Scania / Irizars, three school buses registered YN55 PYX/Y/Z and four with PB bodywork registered YN55 PZB/K/S/T. Thanks to Derek Bradfield for this.
  • Stagecoach in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire Fleet List: Expected transfers this weekend are 14382 from Nuneaton to Rugby, 14386 Nuneaton to withdrawn, 14516 Leamington to Nuneaton, 34398 Rugby to Nuneaton, 31327 Nuneaton to Rugby. 14517 is also to transfer to Nuneaton in due course. Thanks to Tim Moss for this. Rugby have lost five of their nine National Express workings from November, meaning that at least six of the coaches are liable to depart in due course.

25-10-05:

  • Reading Transport Fleet List: 941 has been returned to the leasing company having been made redundant at Newbury. It's last day in service is thought to have been 23rd September, leaving Newbury depot on 7th October. Solo 109 has also been made redundant following the withdrawal of the Vodafone Hungerford commuter service, and so has been used to replace MetroRider 628 in the town fleet. Earlier model 626 (which was replaced by 624) has been sold to The Deliverance Centre, Reading, for non-PSV use. Thanks to Brian Coney for this.
  • Reading Transport MCW Metrobuses: Former 179 and 186 have passed from Nash (dealer) to Edwards, South Wales, joining sisters 175, 185, 187 and 188.
  • Reading Transport Optare Spectras: 703 was sold to Ensign Bus at the end of September. Thanks to Brian Coney for this.
  • Reading Transport: New link to Jim Lowe's bus photos added
  • Stagecoach in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire Fleet List: The second two Solos have now also arrived at Banbury registered KX55 RBZ and RCF. Fleet numbers for the four are to be 47236-9, two will be branded with 'Network Banbury' logos and two for route 488. Oxford 22053 is to be repainted into fleet livery soon, presently being in BMW livery. A standard livery MAN is to be used on the BMW contract following changes to its hours of operation.
  • Stagecoach in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire Fleet List: 47026/8 have received Warwickshire County Council CountyLinks branding and will be used along with 34398 on new route 55 from Nuneaton to Keresley from next week. Thanks to Tim Moss for this. 40156 has received a MegaRear for the Rugby Town Centre Company in place of its one for Wella Essensuals. Thanks to Keith Wood for this.

24-10-05:

  • Stagecoach in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire Fleet List: 47027 is to pass to Silverline on 26th October who have won the contract for some of the Warwickshire County Council funded CHAT! services from Stagecoach. In it's place 34398 will move to Nuneaton from Rugby by 31st October, loosing it's route 63/64 branding in the process. 14386 is due for withdrawal from Nuneaton soon and is to be replaced by 14516 or 14517 from Leamington. Thanks to Tim Moss for this.

  • Reading Transport MegaRears: New photo of rears on 471 and 928 added
  • Reading Optare Solos: Vodafone route HUG was withdrawn from 26th September, and routes TH1 and TH2 merged into a single Thatcham loop (the route number for this is not yet known). Thanks to Jon Nutt and Mike Redding for this. These changes may explain why 941 has been offered for sale. Details about 101 and 102 updated.
  • Reading Area Bus Fares: NightTrack and DayTrack fares from 3rd October corrected
  • Newbury Area Bus Fares: Full details of travel card prices from 3rd October now added

  • First Berkshire Fleet List: 64811 has been repainted into current First Corporate livery, previously wearing First livery (Barbie 2) with a MegaRear for the Oracle (Two Women in Sparkly Dresses). 34275 has lost it's ColourBus livery for Windrush Volkswagen and gained the current First corporate livery.
  • Stagecoach in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire Fleet List: The registrations shown for 13650/1 were incorrectly showing those for 13651/2. The correct marks are H627 LNA and H603 LNA.
